My name is Amra. I am (almost) 24 years old. About to go in a quarter crisis. haha
I love traveling either going alone or with friends. I love learning about other cultures and religion as well as trying new things and exercising.
Going out for drinks is fun and all, but sometimes we should switch it up and do different experiences
Maybe go to under the sea..
New York Aquarium
Catch zookeepers feeding penguins, and sea lions. Watch otters play in the water, and simply just go through the aquarium learning more about fish, sharks and coral reefs.
OR
Maybe feeling like doing something more e?
Axe Throwing is really fun, competitive and you learn how to throw axes while sipping on beer. 35$ per person, and it does not get boring, the perfect way to spend the hour.
The space has a log-cabin decor where you can channel your own lumberjack or Jack from The Shinning.
OR
just wanting to do something different?
The Brooklyn Cat Cafe
The Brooklyn Cat Cafe, The cutest cafe of all cafes. Hangout with over 30 cats/kittens. Pet, play or even just stand and stare at them(its just so worth it). There is an entrance fee of 7$ for every half hour.
I went at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The kitties and cats were mostly knocked out. I would suggest to probably go earlier or later when they are not sleeping so you can actually play with them.
The 85th street location is the only one I have been to. There are locations in Bay Ridge, Manhattan and even Queens. The first time I walked into Prince Tea, I was just overwhelmed with the cuteness of it. They have the cutest booths, plants everywhere, and even a greenhouse in the back of the restaurant. I always try different teas every time I go. Im not even sure which one is my favorite, but definitely love the lava cake and will be back for it soon.
The chai spot is very unique and it comes from the Pakistani/Indian culture. Once you walk in, you would order your chai, and snacks. The chai to order is the rose/coconut blend, its very milky and spicy with a sweet aftertaste. You would need to take off your shoes before entering there massive traditional seating carpeted area with many colored pillows and blankets and mirrors. It gives a very homey feel like you are in your own living room, and you could even play board games or card games if you get bored!
This is the cutest little tea house in St. Mark’s. Everything is inspired by authentic Japanese tea house, from the entrance to the interior decor. If your a fan of matcha, they have amazing ice matcha
If you want Instagram worthy pictures this is your go to place. The food and drinks itself is a work of art. Every single item on the menu is photogenic. This spot is actually pretty expensive, but your paying for the look of it.
Cute hipster matcha cafe. Its very instagrammable with cute pink and green themed colors. They have many varieties like matcha water, matcha latte, matcha chai.
Very cute/creative latte menu with the unique flavors of taro and red velvet. If you choose the coffee it comes in these plastic cups shown in the picture <—, but if you want it in a tea cup, you would need to order the tea version instead of coffee. (I wish I knew that earlier) The menu is pretty expensive, but it is worth the Instagram pictures!
